SPCC Plan
AquAeTer was retained by a new biofuel manufacturing facility to prepare a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan. Firstly, a site visit was made to observe storage areas and stormwater drainage at the site, and collect information for the plan. Preparing the plan entailed confirming the actual containment volumes and required volumes, determining spill/release scenarios, and prescribing emergency response procedures. In addition, the project included preparing a site diagram including topography, discharge points, material handling areas, material storage areas, and areas of erosion. For this facility, containment was provided by a network of existing interconnecting structures. In conclusion, several scenarios were evaluated to find the combination of release capture structures necessary to meet the spill requirements and prevent releases to an adjoining creek.
AquAeTer provided the following services to its client for this sampling and reporting project:
- Site Reconnaissance
- Spill/Release Scenarios
- Containment Volume Evaluations
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Updated Site Diagrams
