Welcoming Georgia Caplen to AquAeTer
Georgia Caplen is the newest to the team of AquAeTer, also the youngest in our office. Her first holiday with the team was Halloween, where she swept the food competition with her amazing brie pastry dish, she also dressed up as an Italian chef. She promises to step up her game for Thanksgiving. We are waiting patiently.
Georgia was originally born in Southern California where she began her love of the outdoors and exploring new places. As a child, her family would travel to the beach or mountains every opportunity they found to experience new adventures. Thus instilling an inquisitive personality trait in her and leading her into science.
At Ithaca College in Upstate New York, Georgia studied Environmental Science where she combined her passion for adventure and education, with sustainability. Through her course work, as well as managing a student sustainability organization, she knew she wanted to start her career experience in providing support to companies and communities while they work towards reducing their environmental footprint.
Georgia also was employed as a research student, identifying and quantifying potential microplastics in Cayuga Lake. She also presented at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research in 2018.
Georgia is now a resident of Music City, here in Nashville, and is looking to complete her second triathlon in Spring 2020.
Welcome Georgia!
